I'm just curious, since the project began some taxiways and runways were changed. Will the scenery have these changes in place? I'm specifically talking about runway 1R and taxiway M1, A, A1, and A2. I think 28L got a small extension too but I am not sure if that was before or after you started creating the scenery.

Oh yes, I've already made those changes many months ago including the extensions. The ground work is actually already done since mid October. I have very strong connections at SFO and know what's coming there for the next 10 years at least.
Anything that is currently under construction, including the new terminal 3 extension and the new tower is actually fully completed already in the product

I promise the next round of previews is going to be worthwhile. I know it seems like it's taking a long time, but there's a lot getting done and many pieces coming together. Thanks for your patience!

this project seams to be taking quite a bit longer than all the other airports did like phoenix, washington, and denver. but im sure it will be a very incredible airport once its released.

makes me wonder how much better this will be than Denver, sense there is supposed to be new tech that has not been demonstrated yet.

This project takes longer because this project features even more options then PHX, IAD and DEN.. DEN is over the top, this will be even better can't even imagine how it will be like! This will be something like in the list of quality's fs9, fsx, p3d then comes 'real' and on top of the list flightbeam :D

Hello Guys!!

I'm a new member around here, but I've been following this thread for a while.

Well, I do love your project and it does seem to be great.

In the site it says it's coming on Winter 2015, which ends in the end of the week. ahahah

Will it be released by the end of week??

I fly a lot to SFO and really look forward to get a payware scenery.

Just another question.
If I buy the SFO scenery, which costs around 25$, when I get the KSFOHD will I pay the difference between them?

Well thanks for the good work and I'm glad to belong to this community.

Thanks,
Goncalo Pinho (sorry for my bad english :\)

The Winter 2015 date is obviously a really old target date I had, that is obviously not going to happen ;)

Once released, customers who have already purchased KSFO legacy will receive a discount on KSFO HD. The exact discount amount has yet to be determined.

Hope this helps!

Hi, thanks for your work on the SFO HD!

Have you done any perf comparisons? I understand the new one will have your new techniques... will it be on par with old scenery or better (or worse because of more features)?

Actually there was a similar question in the SFO legacy forum, check it out here: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2029#p9624
Hope that answers it!

Actual comparison tests are irrelevant though at the moment until absolutely everything is fully completed.

It's not possible for Aerosoft to share with us the customer list for the DVD version.. so unfortunately I'm unable to provide a discount for the Aerosoft version customers.

Hi,

I guess most people on this forum will agree with the fact this is a completely new project meaning, you don't have to discount this product, any other developer could have done this project (not as good as you) and there won't be a discount on their product.. If you're gonna develope (For example) Miami, those who bought KMIA from FlyTampa won't get a discount either, so in my opinion it's all good without any discount.. hope you got my point :P

Bests, Pilot777X

Thanks for your support!

This week the scenery reached a critical milestone so this guarantees previews in about a week or two at most. Expect many many preview shots of all the terminals and main views.

This is FSX which is what I generally use for testing since most of the customer base still uses it. P3D testing (and screenshots) usually comes shortly before release.

Also I did want to say I'm a bit surprised at the amount of positive feedback this image provided, I didn't think the screenshot was anything special. If you guys enjoyed this one, you will really enjoy the rest of the airport.

I would wait the month or two until release because you'll be paying full price plus a half price upgrade if you buy now versus just a full price payment later. That's what I'm waiting on. I'm sure Mir wouldn't mind if you bought it now though. ;)

Hey Mir,
Any chance you could tell us a little more about the passenger animations? Are they still planned as part of the package? Can you elaborate on how they will be implemented?

The passengers will actually be part of a separate, optional add-on package. It will be a simple file download which you can place in the Flightbeam file structure. There will be passengers in the foreground in the seats (non-animated) and passengers in the back of the terminal seen moving (or walking rather). It definitely eliminates the look of empty terminals so I think people will enjoy this for the small performance impact.
