Compatibility w/Orbx TE Oregon

Post by bhorv67 » Wed Jul 01, 2020 8:12 pm

Hi, could you advise which files should be disabled to make KPDX compatible with Orbx TE Oregon. I believe there is some of the surrounding area outside of the airport that may be conflicting?
Thanks

I cannot tell you because I do not own the product and honestly unless ORBX put out that it was compatible with our PDX you may experience some things that cannot be fixed. PDX is over 2 years old now and TE Oregon is brand new.

We did not say it was compatible so unless ORBX did that is something customers will risk on there own.

The only advice I can give is to go into the Flightbeam Manager and run the troubleshooter and see if it locates any problematic files. If so then disable them in the Manager.

Hope this helps.

Orbx hadn't said anything regarding compatibility with your KPDX. I did disable the conflicting files in Orbx for the airport, but notice there are some areas close to the airport grounds that may be conflicting.
Appreciate the reply. Thanks

No problem at all.

We will be doing our own testing once someone on our staff owns the product at which time we can better report any possible fixes. Unfortunately I cannot tell you when that will be but just know for your own future purchases with newer products that this is something you will run into more and more as new products get released and you try to mix them with old products.

Good luck, and happy flying.

Hi there.

I've been trying to find the best way to get the two sceneries working together and, with a bit of effort, they fit well with each other.
Check my post at https://orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/196 ... beam-kpdx/

All the best,

John
