KSFO HD - Previews round 1

Post by Mir // Flightbeam » Wed Aug 27, 2014 1:07 pm

Terminal 2 is complete along with the old tower section. This has all been re-modeled and re-textured from scratch.

Can you spot the 3D passengers in the last 3 shots? Introducing Flightbeam Crowd-Source, a brand new feature that will debut with KSFO HD. Yes, this means 3D passengers at all terminals, with VERY little performance impact. It will be an optional feature for users.

This is of course, on top of all our existing features: See-through terminals (so 2012...), ultra realistic glass, etc.

A bird told me P3D v2.4 may have some exciting new features you can leverage ... like avatar mode.

Looking very good Sir, can't wait for the release. Good times ahead.

Amir, I take issue with this crowd source deal you got going on here. When I land here at his new SFO on vatsim there will be no gates available. Everyone will be parked at the gates watching the people! Seriously, great job!

haha! This one made me crack up. I was just thinking about this the other day. I guess that's why time slots are needed on most sessions. :)

Glad to hear positive feedback. Now just to make things clear, there are no animations yet. The way I situated these 3d people are in a way in which animation is not needed. They're reading, using a laptop, glancing, etc. From initial testing, it works really well. A bit later in production I may be adding some background bodies walking through the terminal.

Looking GREAT Mir! Really top notch work!! I hope you put as much detail on the FBO building (as I'm a bizz jet flyer) as you are in the main terminal. I'm sure you will! Latin VFR is working on KSNA which will be a great flight to KSFO or Orbx's KMRY.

OBSERVATION: I always thought that your FBO building in your original KSFO was slightly small to scale. Could be me though!

Thanks for doing this great airport Mir!

Awsome!!! I love the thoughts that my "local one" (EDDF) is coming right after that and will look as good as that or even better (if that's even possible in the Sim) ;-)

This aircraft pictured below is going to be the new Fire Department safety and training static aircraft, replacing the static 727 at KSFO.

https://www.flickr.com/photos/121993717@N03/14770313634

I personally do not like static aircraft included in your scenery, with the exception of actual static planes like this. Hope it can be included.

Thanks

Are you looking for user-submitted photos, similar to some you asked about for DEN? I certainly have a small stack I've taken when I've flown through there.

Hi there,

Glad you're looking forward to KSFO HD. As for KOAK, I would have any idea on that one. It would be best to ask on other General forums in order to find out. :)
